Excerpt: The Education Department is planning to move TRIO and numerous other higher education programs to the Labor Department as part of a broader effort to dismantle the agency and “streamline its bureaucracy.”
Instead of moving whole offices, the department detailed a plan Tuesday to transfer certain programs and responsibilities to other agencies. All in all, the department signed six agreements with four agencies, relocating a wide swath of programs.

I listened to the speech. I am a strong supporter of free speech of all kinds (both offensive and not), but I was saddened to learn that some people find even such relatively polite speech condemning murder in the Middle East to be so offensive that the man speaking the words should be denied his diploma. But then again I guess it is not the first time that people have justified committing trespasses against others because of trespasses committed against them.
